Out of Egypt

Nefertiti (the beautiful one is come)
was married to Amenhotep IV
who later became Akhenaten.
(he changed his name due to his beliefs,
unlike celebrities who do so
in order to have names that roll off the tongue more easily)
together they had six daughters,
but their names are not important.

Nefertiti vanishes from the historical record
in the 14th year of Akenaten’s reign
some say it was because she died,
and Akenaten couldn’t handle her death.
maybe it was because she was succeeded by Smenkhkare.

and they both were succeeded
by Smenkhkare’s younger brother,
the boy king Tutankaten (who is later called Tutankhamun)
Tutankhamun marries Ankhesenpaaten,
who is a daughter of Nefertiti, although not by Akhenaten.
just as Tutankhamun was a son of Akhenaten
but not by Nefertiti

some say the boy king was murdered
for how many children die at age 14
when they have an entire country to rule?
