THE MEDIA!! GRRRR!!!

Here are tidbits about why I hate the media. Enjoy.

"A music video that I hate"
"Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguliera, Lil' Kim, Mya and Pink.

"Lady Marmalade" begs the question: is this four cadaver-like sexed up pop queens in bad hair, makeup and barely-there clothes or a sex freak show gone horribly wrong? The clever concept for this video is a sex peep show with all the unnecessary frills Hollywood has deemed vital. From real diamonds glued to Christina's eyelashes to hair extensions and wigs for Pink and Lil' Kim, respectively, the props are over-the-top and just plain silly. I won't even go near the fact that they butchered an all-right song. In the age of sexed up pop videos and 17 year olds claiming "I'm not that innocent," "Lady Marmalade" is just another formulaic video that is solely created to attract horny teenage males. It's triteness and predictability is appalling. The video is also worrisome, considering the huge impact that these young women have on their preteen audiences, because of the morality that it fails to promote.
